S.T. Dupont Unveils Statue of Liberty Collection Celebrating America's 250th Anniversary

French luxury manufacturer S.T. Dupont has introduced a distinctive collection of accessories commemorating the 250th anniversary of American independence. Drawing inspiration from the Statue of Liberty and other symbols of American history, the collection brings together the brand's longstanding tradition of fine craftsmanship with designs celebrating this historic milestone.

Distributed in the United States through Coles of London, the commemorative series includes limited-edition Ligne 2 lighters, luxury writing instruments, and exclusive pieces from S.T. Dupont's prestigious Haute Création division.

A Tribute to the Statue of Liberty

The centerpiece of the collection is a series of accessories featuring artwork inspired by the Statue of Liberty, a particularly fitting subject given the monument's origins as a gift from France to the United States.

Production of each model is restricted to 250 examples, a number selected to correspond with America's 250th anniversary.

The Ligne 2 lighter features the commemorative artwork on its decorative face, complemented by a contrasting turquoise finish on the reverse.

Haute Création: Exceptional Craftsmanship

Beyond the lacquered collection, S.T. Dupont has developed four additional pieces through its Haute Création division, which specializes in elaborate, handcrafted luxury objects.

These accessories are distinguished by sculptural bronze construction and intricate detailing inspired by American landmarks and history.

Two models feature a green finish reminiscent of the Statue of Liberty's recognizable copper patina. The remaining two incorporate bronze finishes depicting historic scenes associated with Philadelphia, a city central to America's founding.

The Haute Création collection consists of:

Ligne 2 USA 250th Haute Création Bronze Lighter

Ligne 2 USA 250th Haute Création Green Lighter

USA 250th Haute Création Bronze Double Cutter

USA 250th Haute Création Green Double Cutter

Unlike the standard commemorative accessories, these Haute Création pieces are individually produced to order. The anticipated manufacturing period is approximately eight weeks.

French Heritage Meets American History

The collection carries a meaningful historical connection between the two countries.

The Statue of Liberty, designed by French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, was presented to the United States by France in the 19th century as a symbol of friendship and shared ideals.

For S.T. Dupont, a French luxury house with a history dating to 1872, the anniversary provides an opportunity to celebrate this relationship through objects that combine traditional craftsmanship with historical symbolism.

The use of lacquer, sculptural bronze, and carefully selected finishes reflects the manufacturer's established approach to producing distinctive luxury accessories.

A Noteworthy Release for Collectors

Limited-edition S.T. Dupont accessories have long attracted interest from enthusiasts who appreciate the intersection of functional design, craftsmanship, and collectible presentation.

The Statue of Liberty collection introduces an additional historical dimension, particularly through the limited production of 250 pieces for each of the three lacquered models.

The Haute Création series offers a different expression of exclusivity, emphasizing individually commissioned craftsmanship and intricate decorative work.

Together, these releases represent a distinctive addition to S.T. Dupont's portfolio of commemorative accessories, celebrating a significant American anniversary through the artistic traditions of a renowned French luxury manufacturer.
